Aram released some spoiler images for Ep. 43 today on Twitter! I'm posting them here so people can speculate on which godling our newest PC will be. Here's the PC art:
And here's the title card:
What do you guys think? Personally, I believe we're looking at Ceato, God of the Sea. His reincarnation is described as a "male barbarian raider from the beaches of Utea." Here's my reasoning: This guy definitely fits that description, even if he is also an elf and holding what looks to be an orc's head. The title card for his introduction episode not only gives us a boat, but the prow of a boat that looks like it might belong to a longship, pretty commonly known for being raiding vessels. Looking at all we have now, it seems like this is a fairly strong argument. The biggest strikes against it seem to be that we've only heard of orcs living in the deserts I believe, and usually when a race isn't specified in fantasy writing the specimen is assumed to be human.
As a secondary option, he might be Ius, a "young male pale elf in a vast desert.
" This is definitely a young male elf, and we know orcs do live in some of the world's deserts. He's definitely not dressed for the desert, but IIRC the moon elves(our resident race of pale elves) live in a very cold climate. There's also the obvious moon elf - god of the moon connection. Both these theories might end up being totally off, however, as I'm not sure how Aram came by this art. If it's public domain then anything goes, but if he commissioned it for the podcast, I think these theories both hold water(pun intended). Thoughts?
