Hey together, I found your podcast over some reddit posts.
First of all, you really try to maintain a good quality and a high standard. I was happy when I found it, because I have to travel alot per train and sometimes it is just good to have something like a podcast or a audiobook to listen and relax. I appreciate it really. But the problem is, I can only listen to your podcasts with speakers. I tried once to listen to them on my IPod, and I think my ears started to bleed. Using headphones the volume difference between your voices, times you try to whisper and the times when you underline things with effect is way to broad. I literally ripped on piece of my headphones because it was so fucking loud compared to your normal voices that I had to just get it off my head, fearing my ears would explode..
I learned my lesson and have to listen to the cast at home with speakers. But maybe, in the future, you could try to reduce the variations in volumes between effects, voices and whispers so it can be listened while using headphones.
best regards, kremdes

Not sure how far in to the Podcast you are, but I think DM Aram has found a nice balance at this point. I think he even self admits that he had the sound effects a little loud at first (if I misquoting you Aram I apologize).

I've never had any problems with the audio levels, but then again I have hearing issues, so I have it cranked up pretty loud most of the time, so maybe it's more balanced for me at that level.

We've heard this from a few people early - I'm not quite sure what we were doing wrong, but it gets more even as we go. Sorry for the momentary deafness.
