I was just wondering if you used the sounds from this during the game or do you just weave them in when editing, or is it actually both? Is it pretty easy to improvise the effects and music or would you need to kind of pick them out beforehand. Just curious, thanks.

All sound effects you hear in Godsfall are added in post - in order to make the show sound like it does, I need the cleanest voice recordings I can manage in order to layer in sound effects and music. You certainly could play them live (and BattleBards has created a desktop mixer for that very purpose), but not without also recording them live along with the players.

So I am thinking about picking up Battlebards. Now obviously Aram, you use it to magnificent effect, but based on your use of it do you think it would be easy for a DM to use while live playing in say his living room? I am assuming you would need to setup specific sounds for specific situations, but how about on the fly? For instance, if my player is like "I shoot my bow", would it be easy to just throw up a bow sound right then? So I guess to sum up my question, is it adaptable to real time sound feedback or does it require planning?
